Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She was first within her age bracket to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka is a new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her early years included a period of time in London and New Delhi. Her first performance took place in New Delhi when she was only 13 years old. In 1999, she completed her high schooling at Encinitas CA. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman nevertheless, she has an remarkable career in the field of singing and recording. She performs regularly together with her dad, and has been doing so for a long time years. She has released Anourag her first album solo in 1998. The album was titled Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year later. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues as well, she has a long stage career. Her career doesn't just include music. She released Bapi, the Heart of My Life, in 2002. The book is a biography which pays tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. Also, she has appeared in. in the 2003 movie Dance Like a Man, where she played a Bharat dancer in the form of a young girl. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she'll continue to do many great things in the coming years. Anoushka was born in England and spent a lot of her youth split between London and Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and enrolled in high school there. From the age of nine she started studying music with her father. She made her debut on the sitar four years later during his birthday party in Delhi. Anoushka, who accompanied her father throughout his global tour, gained a remarkable number of experiences. When she was in her teens, she appeared at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and recorded alongside George Harrison. To honor her position as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was given the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
