Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for developing the first modern-day scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in legal situations. Professor Goodman regularly publishes her work and has been awarded several grants, and has been awarded numerous International and national awards. She has worked with many organisations and governments throughout the world in research and guidelines pertaining to child victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of various professional associations, for example, The Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been President of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
