Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress from America. Her most well-known role is her role as Skyler White on The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting while attending the Preparatory School. The late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a few years. She then moved on to TV and film. Anna's first big part was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood was another movie she appeared in. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, a four-part audio series that was released that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual end reflect the final seasons in the story of Walter White.
